When bad news gets extra ugly

Now as these things go this hardly seems worth blogging about, but this one has some personal import. Because back in October of last year my wife and I had gone open housing in the area and picked up the "take one flyer" which even back then was priced below the purchase price of $439,000 and as of today 169 days on the market since that flyer was printed up.

And to add to all this I'm hearing anecdotal stories that real estate agents are only accepting listings if you agree to list it with them for at least one full year!

But wait there's more!

Property Assessment Values 2007: $522,290 tax bill:$10,448.18! Yes, the tax man is valuing this place over a 122k higher then the current asking price (or sitting price in this case)! Talk about injustice.
